Math Skills Development II

Course Description

This individualized non-credit course serves to upgrade math skills and comprehension as a preparation for many math courses offered at Continuing Education and for many courses offered at community colleges in BC. Students are prescribed specific sections designed to upgrade math skills identified in assessment tests taken at colleges and at Continuing Education

Assignments are based on pre-tests administered by the Pathfinder Learning System. As this is a computerized learning process, students must be present at the Continuing Education Centre to access the pre- and post-tests and the library referenced learning materials.

Students needing to upgrade basic math skills in preparation for college math assessment tests or students who have completed high school math courses but need review or upgrading before registering in the Grade 10 and 11 Math courses at Continuing Education (Principles of Math 10, Accounting 11, Principles of Math 11, Essentials of Math 11) would benefit from this course.
