Course Description

Chemistry 12 is a provincially examinable course that covers reactions, equilibria, acids and bases, and oxidation & reduction.

Assignments

Students are required to complete a Hand-In Assignment after each Section and a test after each Module. Students must achieve at least 50% on all assignments and tests. If a mark is less than 50%, the student is asked to restudy and redo the assignment or complete a retest. 

The Final Grade for Chemistry 12 is calculated as follows: 

16 Section Assignments               40%

4 Module Tests                           45%  

1 Final Exam                               15%

Nelson Chemistry - British Columbia Edition is the textbook required for Chemistry 12 and is available at the office with a $50.00 refundable deposit.
